With her Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto and over 16 years of counselling experience, Kim's therapy approach is encouraging, motivating and practical. Utilzing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) she provides practical techniques to address anxious and depressive moods. She believes that self-talk and lifestyle routines play a key role in successfully managing emotions. Through learning to change our mindsets we can overcome and manage many unpleasant thoughts. When we adapt a more positive, balanced perspective, our feelings and behaviours follow.
Kim believes that past hurts and traumas can be used as a powerful ally to produce a newfound freedom as we bravely walk through our pain to find our new restored purpose. With the right guidance and interventions, people can change and live a life of JOY.
Kim uses Jane.app so that anyone can easily schedule a virtual appointment utilizing a secure video platform, or just audio, depending on what you feel more comfortable with.
